Extended Warranty on AC unit
I recently took my Keystone Montana 3121 into Campers World to have the AC unit in the bedroom replaced. It was blowing air just not cold. It was diagnosed as defective. The technician found a replacement unit and said they could order and replace it under warranty. The bad news was that the existing thermostat does not work with the new unit. Because the existing thermostat is not defective the warranty will not cover the new thermostat that will control the new AC unit. The extended warranty is thru Assurant. I called and talked to customer service. They sent me an email address for the appeals department. How can you cover selected parts of a system and not cover other parts that are required to make the system work. Sounds like a scam to me. Any one have any luck with this type of issue?
