Two years ago a group of people broke into the fairground barns that are used up here for winter RV and boat storage. Over 300 RV's and boats were stored on site and only a handful did NOT have the power cords and pigtails stolen. The lucky ones that did not have their storage compartments locked only had the cords stolen, the ones that were locked were pried open and most had significant damage to the door and door frames. Not saying its a common occurrence but just because its never been reported on the Open Roads forum don't mean it doesn't happen.

Better yet, a collar over the cord so it can't be unplugged at the pedestal. If they try the bolt cutters on that, they'll get the shock of their lives. :B:B:B
Lyle - fj12ryderExplorer IIIWell, you can't really blame him for checking on something his dealer told him was a problem. Looks like the dealer is spreader of non-problems. :)
- restlesswindExplorerIt seems as though the OP is looking for a solution to a non-problem.

If you have the time to guard your RV full time with whatever "firepower" you have.......
....consider offering your services to your neighbors as a security guard at whatever RV park where you're "on duty"!
Great benefit to/for your fellow campers!..:C..:C
Maybe hang a sign on your RV advertising same...:@
~ - avvidclif1ExplorerIf that's all you have to worry about you're way ahead of the game. Besides if I can't afford another power cord I have no business buying an RV.
- TxGearheadExplorer II870 is a bit cumberson and unwieldy.
I recommend 45acp or if you're recoil sensitive a 9mm.
Let them steal it. Quit worrying. Enjoy life. - hyattjlbbExplorerNever had an issue with it but always had it in the back of our heads. Our solution was to use the 50A OEM cable when camping, never had any worries in the CG. However, while parked in the driveway at home, we just bought a shorter, I think it is 8' 50A cable from our electrician and if it walks off while parked in town, at least it was only 8'. Still have it after 9 years.
