What is the difference? I have eyes I look at the hitch to make sure everything LOOKS good, no different than pulling on it. You just have to remember to do it.
The first thing I do when I have backed into the hitch is get out and attach the break away cable and padlock to the handle in the closed position. It is done no question. No big handles or sliding bars or whatever else that people seem to have a problem with.
People can do what they want, myself and many others have eyes and a brain and we use them and understand if you look there is no need for a pull test.
