Pullrite super glide 18K

Ok went to do the PDI today and when it came to hitching up we had a lot of problems trying to do it. It has the multi fit capture plate and Lippert said it is the right one. We had to be dead straight to get it hooked up the book says it could 10 degrees off. Anybody have or had this problem or just any suggestions.

We haven't had any problems hooking ours up. It seems to tolerate being off a little bit.

Our issue is finding the right height to unhitch. Latches on good and won't let go if we're a tad too high or a tad too low.

But we keep at it and we're getting better. Just takes some practice.
Jim, have you tried putting your legs down and putting truck in reverse to back into hitch. Set parking brake in that position. It will release smooth as silk like that.

I use the red grease and lube up the hitch really good and try it a couple of times then its ready to work better.
This hitch plate really needs no grease as plate does not pivot on hitch.
