Thanks for the detailed write-up on your TH. I ordered a 24' TH from Dune Sport last year and took delivery about 2 weeks ago. You have a lot of interesting options I did not even know were available. A winch would have been nice. Mine is also very custom. I wanted the shortest trailer possible that would fit my baja bug or a 4 seat CanAm (dreaming). We picked it up after Christmas and only spent one night outside of Phoenix before heading home. I will post some pics later today. Some options I asked for were:
200ah lithium Amazon battery, located in the front storage area
Solar prewire in 3 places
I made a control panel and sent it to them to install
LED lights inside with a dimmer
LEDs outside, 1000 lumens on the sides, and 2700 lumens in the back
Double bunk happy jack
Inset the bathroom vanity into the nose
The large 12v fridge, which I really like also
We only asked for a stovetop, no oven. Instead I asked for the microwave to be placed under the stovetop. Located in the overhead cabinet was just too tall for my wife.
We wanted a TH that could suit all of our wants. We can use it as a camper, go to the desert with some toys, and I can pull it with my F150. I did not ask for a generator or fueling station. I plan to install 800w of solar on the roof, 200w on a ground mount, with a Victron invertor. I have a small suitcase generator that works well and can supplement the solar.
We have been adding a few details and are getting ready to boondock for a few days in the desert this weekend. We have never owned a travel trailer or you hauler before, so this has been a learning experience. So far, I really like it.
def post some pics of your toyhauler!
i hope your toyhauler works out exactly as you want it too. the solar pre wire was cheap for only missing the solar panels. i bought 2-100 watt renogy panels to complete it. also had the tv mount in the bedroom wired for a 12 volt tv because if i add on it will be a 12 volt like the ceiling mount.
we originally decided on a 24' with upper bunk and reversable couch on the lower. they told us they could still offer the side patio in the 24' dx or cds floor plan. in the dx they were willing to rotate the counter top to the front wall and add a flip up countertop extension as we did in our current modified 26' fb floor plan.
what is your dry weight and tongue weight? did you spend the extra for fiberglass or opt for the aluminum?
our floor plan........
stock fb floor plan.....
