Purchasing the right size

I am buying my first Fifth Wheel. I am looking at one that is 29.4 total length and one that is 32.5 total length. Can anyone tell me if I would notice the difference in towing the extra three feet. I am concerned with turns and backing it in a camp site.
thank you.
  • when I was shopping for motorhomes I questioned an additional 2-3 ft. and the salesman held up his hands 3 ft apart and said that is all we are talking about. no issue.

  • No problem w/ just 3 feet. Before you go to the campground, go to a local (vacant) lot like a high school and practice backing into a space. If by chance you have any traffic cones, put them on the front corner of space to help act as a guide for you. Plus, practice making turns in the lot as this will help you and give you an idea just how tight you can go w/o hitting back window.
