Leichardti,
A few years back I did this upgrade to my WW FSC2800. It was simple, easy, and inexpensive. I used a LUX digital Thermostat that I think I paid about $20.00 for.
I liked this unit as it has a 1/2 degree temperature swing as compared to other units that have 1 degree. 1 degree equals 2 degrees of heat swing which can be a lot when you're asleep.
I needed a small switch to make the set-up work correctly. There are numerous links that tell you how to wire the system but unless you put a switch in the fans don't work correctly.
If you contact me via e-mail I'll send you the directions and pictures. I have never had much luck with posting pictures here.
I consider this one of the best upgrades I've done to my TH. It's nice to have a better sound system, swap to a larger flat screen TV, and other upgrades. But being able to set the temp, turn off the lights, and sleep without being hot or cold is priceless, and I get the right temp first time every time.
