Traveling 8,000 miles around the country last year-it was hard to find a fiver OR TT staying under 65mph.
Saw a few of these rigs in the campground in the evenings-you guessed it-ST tires.
This is the primary cause of failures-speeding.
You're qualified to testify as an Expert Witness!..;)
Just ONE of the *many* "lines" used by the GY mouthpieces to justify tire failures (including Marathons)....
SP Times: "Goodyear Kept Tire Problems Quiet"
From the above - GY rep Chuck Sinclair indicated in *every* case the customers were at fault:
The tires failed, Sinclair said, because they were run with too little air, too heavy a load, too fast, too hot, or too seldom; they were punctured and poorly repaired or they were driven over sharp objects..:R
BTW - under "The Human Toll"...
The tires in question include various sizes of Load Range E, heavy-duty tires used on big pickup trucks, some SUVs, 15 passenger vans, trailers and recreational vehicles and ambulances.
They include some GY Wranglers, Workhorse and Marathon tires, Kelly Springfield (a GY subsidiary), Power King and Trailbuster lines as well as "private brands" made by GY but sold under other names.
As always, YMMV - your bucks, your choice!..:)
