Hell most folks with lots of trailering experience know more than Mark Polk when it comes to his inexperience with tires and towing a heavy trailer.
I've read some of his blogs which sounds typical of a person who hasn't towed much but ......he has a blog and a opinion with not much experience.

Maxxis at this time seem to have a better track record of all the ST tire brands however we have had 20+ Maxxis owners report same type issues as other brands.

IMO whats important is if ST tires have worked for you thats fine. Their cheap in price so keep using them.

Also Tireman9 (rvtiresafety.com clicky in my reply above) has one of the best blogs on the net about ST vs LT.
IMO his tire posts are a must read for new folks to the trailering world. Roger is a actual tire engineer and much more than a Mark Polk when it comes to tires for trailer use.
