I did this project last week. My 5th wheel was pre wired for the 2nd A/C ie, had box by the vent & breaker in circuit breaker box labeled 2nd A/C & 20 amp breaker.
As wvcampers said "hardest part is getting A/C on roof". I used 2 jr giant ladders & made a scaffold, set a/c on scaffold (with help) then stood on scaffold & set a/c on roof. I think the hardest part was getting the goop/sealant off the rubber roof, not hard, just takes time. The factory pours goop/sealant on the roof, sets the vent, runs in the 28 screws, then pours more goop over the vent flange & screws. This has to come off with out cutting/gouging the rubber roof so the new a/c gasket will seal over the old vent hole.
This project is not difficult for any average diy. A helper to hold the interior unit is helpful as I had but could probably do it yourself.
