As long as the roof is straight for at least about 4 inches forward of the vent you will be ok, most of the additional length of the AC unit sits behind the opening. Since it doesn't matter to you, go non-ducted, even if the existing duct is available it may not have decent air flow. If you are pre-wired for 2nd unit and have 50 amp service, great. If not just run a separate 20 amp cord and plug it into the 20 amp outlet on the shore power pedestal, this is a common trick.
