Radius Roof?

Have been looking at Cedar Creek Silverback models and they all have a radius, or curved edge at the roof line, so the rubber roof material extends down the sidewall a few inches. This seems like a good design idea to me since the roof/sidewall joint has always been the source of my rain leaks. Just wondering what others have experienced with this design? Maybe a roof sidewall joint is always a leak source no matter what I buy?
  • We have owned a Cameo, an Outback Sidney, and now a Titanium. All had that roof edge design and none of them leaked at the roof/wall interface.
  • My CC is now 9 years old, and other than a new roof because of my inability to drive LOL it has never leaked
  • I think almost every fifth wheel is built that way. Nothing new here. I believe the "radius roof" they talk about in their advertising refers to the ceiling on the inside which is now rounded from side to side vs: just being flat...

The CC ceiling AND roof is a radius design... the ceiling design is an aesthetic feature providing a more spacious feel. The "full" roof radius from side to side... allows water to shed easily vs a flat roof. The wrap over the side edge... although curved is not what CC is exclusively referring to when describing the "radius roof". I agree with the OPs assessment of the design... water on the roof has no place to collect and stand at a seem... which should help avoid leaks.
