Rain and the Emergency Hatch

Just picked up a very small (20') 5th wheel which amounts to a big TC with wheels. Can someone tell me if the emergency hatch is much of an issue when it rains? I do not have opening windows in the bunk and will have the hatch open a bit for airflow.
