RAM 2500 Mirrors

Looking at a RAM 2500 to replace my F250 and all the 2500s I looked at did not have mirrors that extended, are the existing mirrors OK for seeing behind the RV?

X1!!! clip on type mirrors will drive you crazy, give your eye balls head aches:):):)

They ROTATE up for tow position

Just walk up to truck and see if mirrors rotate up...simple design
  • Ram's tow mirrors are among the best I have ever used. Very steady image in the mirror and plenty wide to see behind. Look at the window sticker, if it says tow mirrors the truck has them.
  • They look like the ones in you pictures, how do I know if they are "tow" mirrors, how much further do they come out from the truck?

If it has the tow mirrors they flip up. Do they look like the ones on the 2015 (Red) truck here?

    They rotate up for towing.

  • Did you try pivoting the mirrors upward and out? They do not pull out or extend out like Ford but pivot up and down so the mirror is vertical instead of horizontal. Those trucks you looked at may well have had the towing mirrors and you didn't realize it. They work just as well as the Ford mirrors did which is to say "very well"! You can see what I used to drive by looking at the rig photo in my signature. Have not had time or place to take a new picture of our rig.

  • If equipped with trailer tow mirrors they will flip outward not extend out. Mine work great with our 100" wide 5ver. Usually forget to flip them and have to get out of truck to do the mirrors and get back in.
  • Try Cipa mirrors. Just the little extra that you need for less than $100. The best extended mirrors I ever had.
