WOW...10 pages later I think most like their Ram 3500's. I'm lucky because I love my 2002 3500 Cummins Diesel 6 speed loaded with almost everything you can imagine for this truck but I have one that in one thousand I learned a lesson with a hefty price. This is not by any means a slap, slam or anything bad to say but only a reminder. The original OP said am I still "HAPPY"...well yes I am.....BUT...There is something like a ghost that will "KILL" your early years Cummins Diesel. Aftermarket oil filters!! Look it up. It's up to you to do the research...debris clogs the #6 oil nozzle and it burns up the piston. This my friends is a 50 cent part that kills a 12 thousand dollar motor.. Luck be a lady if you have been driving with all these years without a failure if not using Cummins oil filters. Just ask more if your in my shoes..the brighter side is; I did many upgrades after the meltdown. Really who wants to pull a 1000 pound motor out of a truck and completely rebuild it?.. Well I did....SO.. It's no joke, I have been there. If you have come this far to read this thread you may have learned a thing or two. If you want to ask me anything about an 02 Cummins Diesel...just ask. BTW..truck has 78000 and 28000 on the new motor..It's an HO but I bumped up the injectors to 275's from the stock 245's which are considered HO (HIGH OUTPUT).
Oh and forget about #6 stock injector..Toasted...along with the valves.

Off to the machine shop.:M
