While I love the Grand Design toy haulers we will probably end up with a Voltage 3970. I believe I also saw a Fuzion that had a similar floor plan with the L shaped couch as well so I'll have to take a look at that one too.
We use a Ram picture frame adapter along with a regular, non-slider 5th wheel hitch. The only issue we had was finding a 5th wheel hitch that would adjust down to 13-14 inches (to get 6" of clearance and keep the TH almost level). Most only adjust down to 16-17".
Posted a pic with the left front cap about 6 inches away from the left side of the cab. Since the rear of the king pin assembly (which is easy to see from the driver's seat) would contact the side of the bed before the cab would contact the cap, we don't have to guess or get out of the truck to gauge the cap/cab distance.
So far, after a 1,000 miles of towing, we've had no issues using a non-slider hitch.
