- Bob_VaughnExplorerWe had the RDS 37 gallon gravity fed tank to our diesel truck and what a relief not to worry about running out of fuel. We got it mainly for our trip to Alaska....Fuel stations are not on every corner so looking for the cheapest diesel was not an option....Now on the other hand in the lower 48 price shopping was an option. In my old truck with a 26 gallon tank if the fuel light came on you better be in sight of a gas station....One day in NM we filled up both thanks and it was 400 bucks .....our credit card company went ballistic.....fuel is cheaper now....
- PFittExplorerI have the RDS 45 gal in my truck for the last 4yrs. My tank is the 9" thick vertical style not the wedge it fits my EX Cab Short Box great, used the install kit that they sell with the tanks. I also put a small 12 volt pump inline so it wouldn't take so long to refill my main tank , also the fuel gauge doesn't go nuts from being on full until you use up all the extra fuel. We have made 3 trips west from Mi and the tank has paid for it's self just in being able to buy cheaper fuel, before going into Yellowstone, Glacier and Rocky Mtn. Parks. If you have any more questions just pm me. Pete
