re-direct generator exhaust

If he wants to redirect the exhaust he could just turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom, that should suck it into the bedroom.

I have seen accessories for the Honda Exhaust systems but not for the Yamaha.

My 2kW Honda gets rather warm when running. I don't think I would ever run it in an small enclosed area just because of the generated heat...

There is also the other reason for putting deadly CO FUMES into the trailer enclosed areas. This is a silent death sentence... If I point my 2KW Generator towards my trailer I can trip the Co DETECTOR just running the generator from my truck tail gate area... This is some serious stuff...

My 2KW Honda generator sits secured to my covered tailgate corner in my truck. When I need to use it I pull it out onto the tail gate... My generator is out of sight when secured and goes where I go...

In my case I only use my 2KW Generator to power up my 30A Shore Power Cable to run my on-board CONVERTER/CHARGER unit to charge up my trailer battery bank. Since my Converter/Charger is a smart mode type this takes around three hours of generator run time to get my 50% 255AH depleted battery bank back up to its 90% charge charge state. Then I am good again to run all of my 12V items from the battery bank and selected 120VAC items from my small 600w PURE SINE WAVE Inverter.

Don't understand how a 2400is would run your AC unless it's a smaller 13k btu one. We had two 2400's because we had to gang them in order to run the 15k btu AC on our Montana. Kept them in the truck bed and, while it was a grunt, I didn't have any problem putting them on the ground and back up when I was 69.

Like others have said, this is a gasoline generator and not designed for enclosed spaces (even though the forward compartment is somewhat ventilated). It's also not designed to have an exhaust extension, so you're risking quite a bit (including your lives) keeping it there.

While I've installed solar and four BIG 6v batteries in our Montana and sold the Yamahas, I did pick up a Harbor Freight 3.2k watt generator on sale (a whopping $300!) that we use for home power backup and take in the bed of the truck for the once in a while time we boondock and need AC. It's not as quiet as the two Yamahas were, but it's also not all that loud. Can't hardly hear it when stopping at a Flying J or the like for an overnight.

PLEASE.... don't do that !! Nothing GOOD will come of it...

Beware from that location the genset will fill RV with CO. DO you think storage area is air tight? The genset may also overheat do to lack of air flow. I see your plan as a bad idea.
Adding on to the exhaust particularly adding an elbow will create back pressure which is not good for the genset and may also lead to over heating.
Simply put you will need to take the genset out of the compartment to use it
