I pull 9200lbs with a 6.4 Ram. Empty weight means nothing. Loaded you will be over 13000lbs. You really need a 1ton diesel. In my opinion, too much weight to be happy with the GM 6.0. Maybe wait for the new GM 6.6 or Ford 7.3 but I would just get the diesel.
