I just finished repacking the bearings on my Artic Fox 295T. I put an 8 ton hydraulic jack under the axle of one side and then put them on an axle stand. Essentially doing one wheel at a time.
I would be hard pressed to try and lift the trailer by jacking up the I beam. Common sense would take that as a foolhardy move. Just consider, when you try to jack up the trailer on the I beam, you are essentially trying to tip approximately 50% of the trailers weight on one jack. As a mechanical engineer I stongly believe in working safe at all times. Trying to lift 1/2 the trailers weight at one time and risking twisting the entire frame is fool hardy at best at worst downright dangerous.
