I just traded in my 2012 Toyota Tundra for a 2015 Ram 3500 SRW diesel. We pulled a Rockwood signature ultra lite 5th wheel, probably went just under 9k loaded. Could the 1/2 ton pull it? Yes, on flat ground. Once you hit some grade, it was jerky, constantly searching for gears and maybe got 8 mpg.
