You don't have to explain. Your setup is fine and proven. I'm very similar to you and I just keep trucking. If people don't like they can lump it and take it down the road and dump it.

I have bags as I have said not because it helps with the safe operation but because it helps with ride big difference.

Buu a truck with more capacity than you need because you WILL end up with a bigger RV!

I have Timbrens on my Ram 2500 towing 9000lbs with an 1800lb pin. Do I need them? No. Does it ride better with them? Yes. I don't understand some of the logic on here. Just because someone wants to improve the handling or ride of their truck some on here think it's because they don't have enough truck. OEM equipment or the lack of is one of the reasons many make changes. Aftermarket shocks, sway bars, tires, etc all make the truck handle/ride better. What's wrong with wanting to improve on something? If your truck came with a crappy stereo would you just leave it or put in a nicer one? If you truck came with tires that only gave you 30,000 of service would you by the same replacement? Same goes with truck suspensions. They all can be improved on.

It's kind of ironic in that some on here say if the trucks rated to tow it, then it should be good. And others say you need a bigger truck when you're maxed out.

I have a srw 2011 6.7 diesel towing a fiver thats 14k loaded.Truck sits "level" when loaded.I STILL. put air bags in with on board compressor because the fact of the matter is the truck rides better.I can dial in what ever psi I want.I dont have the bags because im overloaded,unlevel etc.Im well withing all my ratings.The bags stop unneeded bounce for myself.Ive had timbrens and stableloads in the past and neither compare to the bags.Point is to some posters who said if you need bags you are prolly overloaded.Not the case.Bags in some instances just make the overall ride,comfort better.Why do most /some box trucks big rigs,fire trucks etc have bags stock from builder? COMFORT AND LEVELING.Not because they cant haul the load.

A side benefit of bags is it brings your headlights back down to where they are set stock.Anyone whos tows at night and has some sag knows what im talking about.Alot of duallys have bags for this sole purpose.

I always think of the trap door spider when it comes to posts that the weight police jump into the middle of and give their same ole melody. :W

You never know when they are gonna jump out of the hole and put the habius garbbus on you. :B
