When you're not cooking it is out of the way and you don't walk back and forth through the kitchen to get anywhere else in the rig. We feel our almost 33 feet is the perfect size. We camped in everything from Walmarts to local, state and federal parks as well as private RV parks and never had a problem getting in or out except in one state park in NY where the site sloped down from the access road and we had a lot of rain. Hooked up to another TV nose to nose and got us uphill and out.
