Rear Kitchen Question

We have put around 10K miles on our RK & so far nothing has opened or gotten broken. A few roads were so rough that I regretted not choosing a different route but we came out ok. DW & I both like the additional counter space & she insists on glass coffee mugs & dishes. We also leave our coffee maker on the rear counter sometimes when traveling.

Love my rear kitchen. Husband created some wooden door "blocks" which fit between cabinet door handles to make sure they're closed tightly. Other than that, use common sense in loading cabinets. Cushion breakables. I do not leave my ceramic cannisters on countertop during travel. Pack them in a crate. My kitchen, with center island, is great. Countertop space is very handy.....In previous fiver's center kitchen, cabinet door opened and Corelleware dishes fell out; and yes, two broke.

We have a rear kitchen and that was the primary reason we chose the floorplan.
Extra counterspace also.
Many miles, no shocks and no issues.
A coffee maker sitting on the countertop hasn't moved when we arrire at our destination.

RK here too, and no issues. Use plastic glasses and cups, rubber matting underneath, and small pillows/blankets to keep items from moving. Travel some on washboard gravel. Never had a door pop.
Wife loves the RK. No slides, though. Some newer models with slides will cover the fridge. Some have the fridge in the slide.

We are on our 2nd RK and have never had a problem except for what another poster said about the glass plate in the microwave, which we learned on our 1st RK, plus RK always gives you more cabinet space.

Never have had any problems and we do a lot of off-roading.

We also have a RK in a 03 Alpenlite 3 slide with shocks, the only thing i do is put rubber bands around the kitchen cabinet knobs just in case. Just got a MH so the 5er has to go, to many toys.

Us too, with 10, 12 years and no issues.

We have had 3 5th wheels, first 2 were mid kitchens, this one is rear kitchen. My wife fell in love with the floor plan when we looked at it because of the rear kitchen, extra cabinets, extra counter space and no travel corridor through her area! We are on the 5th year with this rig, spend between 5 and 6 months in it each year and pull at least 10,000 miles each year. We have never broken a thing. I did have a silverware drawer come open but it was because the latch broke. That is it, I don't think we will ever have it any other way!
Good luck on your decision, but I would not believe all the stories! We were warned of that stuff too!
One last thing, we do have shocks on both axles.

We have had no problems with our current rear kitchen or our previous TT rear kitchen. I suspect that most that have had issues were TV based. If the truck springs flex too much with road irregularities that will translate to a lot of up and down motion in the rear of the trailer. I used air bags in my previous truck to control that motion on rough roads.
