- Dave_H_MExplorer III would always believe what a salesman tells me cus he works for the stealer. :B
- GearitisExplorerWe have had 2 rear kitchens and have a new one now. Not an issue ever! In fact when go to RV shows, my wife looks in, no rear kitchen, she moves on. She loves to cook especially on the road and when all of the kids are with us, (I say kids, they are 32 and 28 with spouses).
- travelnutzExplorer IIWe have had several rear kitchen 5th wheels over the last 28 years and hundreds of thousands of miles traveled with them and never had anything in the kitchen move or break. They are the best floorplan money can buy because of the large counter space it gives and that it keeps all food particles, spills, odors, and dishes in the rear only and also drastically limits people traffic being in the way when cooking etc and eating as it's the end of the trailer with nothing behind it or any exit/entry doors.
Since the salesman has blatantly lied to you about having a 5th wheel trailer with a rear kitchen, don't you wonder what else he's lying about also? I wouldn't walk away from dealing with him, I'd run away! - mileshuffExplorerNo problems with ours. Everything stays put and it tows smooth. Far better than my old TT.
- Irish2ExplorerNot True! We love this floor plan and on point to your question, we have had no broken dishes and the the unit I have tows smooth. More than likely he was steering you away from a rear kitchen as he did not have that floor plan and wanted to push you to an alternative with misinformation. Good luck with your search and feel free to ask questions here as there is a good cross section of information here.
- Nutinelse2doExplorerI love my rear kitchen. No porpoising, and never had a dish break, even before the IS was added.
X 2 what brirene says about the packing. - brireneExplorerUh, no. Were his lips moving? You're right, there is the occasional broken dish story. Minimal care in packing alleviates that. Don't let those stories sway you from considering this great floorplan if that's what you're looking for.
- BB_TXNomadI have not had one. But a good friend does and never a problem with porpoising.
- janegowestExplorerOOOOOh!! That makes me mad!! I trusted this man!! He probably told me that because he does not have any rear kitchen units!!
I have heard of dishes breaking in rear kitchens by people on this forum though. - darsbenExplorer IIAnd teenagers get hairy hands because they .......
Get away from that salesman
