Rear View Camera

Anybody have any experience with the Tadi Brothers wireless rear view camera for monitoring while traveling. I installed one on the back of my fifth wheel so I could see what is behind me while traveling. The camera will not stay on moving or not moving. I talked to Tadi Brothers and they said I have to have a full 12 volts or better for the camera to operate correctly.I have power to my camera from my running lights.

  • Thanks for the replies. I do have LEDs. I checked my connections before this last trip and they were good. When I first started going down the road the camera was working pretty decent for about 5 miles. After that camera would go out then back on.
  • I have the Tadi Brothers wireless camera. First off I wish I would have gotten the long range setup, I get a lot of interference while driving in cities.

I also had problem with voltage, so I ran a power cable directly from the FW battery to a relay that is tied to the running lights and then to the camera. Now when the running lights are on I have plenty of power and voltage.

If your trailer does not have LED running lights, a conversion to them will help up the voltage. We have a 39'4" 5th wheel and a CC SB pickup and our Furrion camera still works 10 or 12 lots away from the trailer. I find it distracting to have it on when traveling however. Ours is powered from a inside 12V sconce light next to the rear window, so nothing else is loading the circuit when using the camera.

  • For what it's worth, I have a Furrion Vision2 wireless system on my 43' 5er and it works perfectly at speed, powered by running lights...
  • I think you are pushing or past the limits of wireless from the back of a 5er and the cab of a pickup.
