Recliner replacements?

We have seen a couple of Lazy Boy styles. Has anyone put the Pinnacles in the rear of a 96" unit? We are wondering if we bought the wall-away version, rather than the rocker recliner, if it would be possible to not need to move the recliners every time we move the unit. We would have 40" of clearance before the slides & the chairs are supposedly 37". The rocker version we have now moves too much to do that... We would want leather (we think). Other choices? Thanks!
  • Do you know the weight? I can only find dimensions. Thanks!
  • We have measured about every quality recliner/rocker out there, including all LazyBoy models. We were not able to find any that would prevent us from having to push them back and turning them back-to-back for the slides to come in.

There are some Pinnacle models that are generally much lighter and move easier than some of the stuffed RV rocker/recliners. When we replace we will pick a LazyBoy Pinnacle for the weight issue.
  • We also have the Lazy Boy Pinnacles. They are located in the living/dining room slide and we move the back when traveling and pull the out a bit during set up. To use, they are very comfortable recliners.

......and make sure they have removable backs - if not - make sure they will fit through the door..;)

BTW - my "factory" swivel recliners went good-bye early-on.
Lots of good alternatives - and no need to "relocate" 'em.

  • We have La-Z-Boy Pinnacle Reclina-Way (wall hugger) recliners in our 5th wheel. They need to be about 4 inches from the rear wall to recline fully. We move them forward after set up and push back for travel. Not hard. No big deal. Very comfortable recliners.
  • PM me when you find a solution please. I am in the same fix as you are. I find it a pain to move the one chair every time I open and close the slide.
