I'll go out on a limb here and take a wild guess.....Your hitch is "clunking" when you stop and start and possibly "popping" and "creaking" when towing and backing?
I had a Reese and it did those things from the day it was new. I put up with it for 2 years and then replaced it with another brand which does none of those bad things.
I won't say what I replaced it with but the initials are BW. :W
On edit: I am a retired trucker with 3.5 million safe miles and I know what a proper connection between a tow vehicle and a trailer is supposed to feel and sound like.
