You said buying one of these, which I was not sure what that is. Went On Reese web sight and think I found the kit you must be talking about. I'm sure it would work, but just makes things more complicated over how easy the puck system really is. I installed a B&W last March and it took the installer about 30 min to put the new hitch together and install. Leaves a lot more open space in the bed. Course that would mean buying a new hitch, and selling the old hitch.
