I have had two Reese sliders. The first one, a 14k, was used for 2-3 years, and I don't think I ever used the slide feature.
The second, a 16k, I had for probably 8 years or so. Had to slide it back every time to get the trailer into storage. The only way that one would slide was if I dropped the landing gear and took almost all the weight off the truck.
I can't imagine either of them sliding unintentionally.
