Refrig won't cool down on LP

We just got our 5er out of storage and are packing for our trip south. I ususally have to cycle the frig on and off 3-4 times to get the air out of the line for it to fire up. I have cycled it 7-8 times and it still won't fire so I'm kinda at a loss for possible problems. I do have LP so that's not it.

Any ideas from the DIYs out there.
  • At 35 degrees it may not fire. If it's trying then you likely have no gas flow.
  • Previous post about turn bottles off, then back on very slowly, then turn on water heater or stove top to clear air is a good hint.
Ignitor clicking means you are getting some response. Doesn't mean gas valve is working.
  • The make/model is Dometic RM3962 RB. I can hear the ignitor clicking but nothings happening. I don't have a helper close by but will try to get my wife out there tomorrow to do the inside part. I will try the stove and see if that helps to get things working.

    It's about 35 degrees here.
  • Turn off all propane appliances. Turn off the valve on the propane tank. Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Turn on the propane valve on the tank very slowly just a very slight bit at a time. Now try the stove.. if you have a good flame on the burner(s) turn the burners and the stove off and try the fridge again.
  • Look at the outside access for the flame port. Visually check for flame.
No flame, have helper turn off the refer. Have helper turn on refer as you watch and listen in the outside access for clicking of ignitor. At the same time hold onto the gas valve so you "feel" the gas valve energize.
Locate and post make and model of refer!
  • do you have a good 12v source? even on shore power you need a good 12v.lite the stove burn off a little fuel.
