Remove storage moisture

I have been having trouble with mold on the interior wood in several locations of our 37 foot 5th wheel during storage.
What can I place inside the camper to remove moisture during storage where I don't have access to power? I do plan on cracking the roof vents for ventilation.

If you have electrical in storage i would buy a small dehumidifier and set it on 50 percent. Of course you have to have a place to drain too also. Real dehumidifiers do a great job.

Even a couple 75-100w 110v bulbs left on will help warm the interior enough to keep condensation down.

  • "Damp Rid" bags! We've used them for years in our RV and cabin cruiser. Don't bother with the containers of Damp Rid. They work but are messy and a pain to deal with. The bags are wonderful! I buy ours at Lowes - 3 bags in a box for approx. $8. I hang 3 bags in various places in our 35' fifth wheel and have to put new ones up about every 6 weeks. These things will definitely pull moisture from the air!
