Removing Frige?

Dave -

My first fear would be how to get the new and old fridge's in and out of the access door.

I would want to have all of that figured out first before removing the installed fridge first...

Seems like I have heard a coupe of folks had to remove a window to get it done... You would need a fork lift for that haha..

I'm almost betting the manufacturers have the fridge inside the trailer before all the walls go up...

You should not have to torally remove the outside covers. Just open them up and remove the hold down screws you see holding the box in place. One dimension or the other will go thru the door. Heck, even the large double door refers should fit thru side ways.

There's 4 screws in the corners along the inside frame and two at the base you get to through the outside access panel 6 total that's all that holds it in there. Disconnect the 12V, unplug the 120V and disconnect the gas line and it will slide into the RV.

Absent anything else, I would study the hardware on the new one to find clues about the old one.

Had the same concerns but everything was easy. As far as the vent in the side of the rv, why not just leave it? I installed a residential fridge and just spray foamed the inside of the vent to prevent air flow. Fridge removal (I had a 4 door Norcold 1210) was easy. Fridge was not heavy and removed by myself alone. I did get a helper to haul it out my door (was awkward) but its less than 24" deep so it cleared my door with space on either side.

Yes ^^ Absent a kitchen counter that juts out into the doorway area, you should no problem getting the old one out.

And Denny, after looking at mine closely, I think you described the way it is fastened in there.

The four screws on the door side starts about 4:30.
I removed my fridg. Found out it weighs about 120 lbs.

Fridg removal

Check your measurements for the fridge and the door.
Sounds good that it "should" fit but they don't on a regular basis.
Took the Dometic out of the motorhome and had to remove a window to get it out.
