  • Go to classacustoms.com or ebay type in 5th wheel landing gear parts easy to install and much cheaper than buying new complete landing from venture
  • Adding a motor sounds like a good fix but I did go the Ultra Fab route. Our rig is not a Cameo but a low end Hitchhiker. The Ultra Fab set did not match up exactly to the support points so took some welding. Personally, I like the result and it does work well but adding a motor to the curb side leg might be an easier and much cheaper fix. I've never been known to do things the easy way though. . . .
  • I had trouble with the landing gear on another brand. The third time it failed I installed the dual motor system. No more problems.
  • Why? Venture has been great to work with. Parts are reasonable and my landing hear is done well for 7 years until this year when I rebuilt one leg. BTW I also converted to a dual motor setup last year. Best thing I ever did for the outside. I also added up limit switches and heavy duty reversing relays.
You can buy the dual motor setup from Venture. In reality all you need is the curb side powered leg which is not too expensive. Pop the caps off the tops of the legs and get the part numbers. When you call them give then the numbers and tell them you want a curb side powered leg assembly. Then all you have to do is remove the curb side leg and install the new one when it comes.
