find a carpet place that has a binding machine, most charge 1-2 bucks a foot to put the finished edge on the slide carpet (stitched edge). You can prob remove the dinette and sofa yourself, or whatever it is that is in your slide area. A bunch of square head screws hold in the furniture, sometimes sofas are just free standing though but some have a screwed in base. Once you do that you can pull up the old carpet and use it as a template, don't throw it away, the carpet guy will use it to cut a new piece for you. You can prob install it yourself as most as just stapled in. Measure an old staple so you get the correct length when using new ones with your staple gun, I use an air nailer with 1/4' crown staples.. Too long and you'll go through your floor and it will scratch the main floor as the slide comes in.
