Replacing front cap decals

The front decal on my Forest River Flaggstaff 5th wheel is a total loss. I know I can order replacement from FR or have it painted.

Replacement decals will be of the same quality of the failed ones maybe worse. So I'm not sure I want to go through this again and painting is pretty expensive.

I was thinking of removing it and replacing it with a nice beach or mountain scene decal. I've done several Google searches and have not found anything that would meet my need.

Does anyone know of a place where I can order a new front decal of s a nature type scene?

Thanks!

Dave

  • Vinyl have vastly improved in the past five years or so. They now have vinyl that stay with you. We have some trucks with the new high tech vinyl signs on the door and so far they are holding up very well. Another two to three years will tell the tale.
  • Have someone airbrush your choice of scene on it. This is done all the time in the Yuma, AZ. area during snowbird season. The painters have scenes to choose from or you provide your favorite picture.
  • Search RV graphics. There are a couple of companies out there.

I know this isn't what you asked, but I will throw it in anyway. I removed the big main decals off the front cap on our FW. There are stripes that run up the sides and terminate on the cap so I left those. I think it looks better than new. My thinking in taking the big decals off was, after 2 1/2 years the originals looked bad. The cap gets more scrubbing than any other part of the FW, so I figure any decal would wear out fast.

This is an option I know. After I remove the remaining decal and try to clean the cap to remove the ghost image I'll see if I am ok with no decal. It is just such a large area of nothing once the decal is gone!
