This is my opinion only, from many many hours of research and experience...
Get the Michelin XPS Ribs 235/85 16e and never worry about tires again for many years.
A close second best, the Duravis.
Duravis have a 5 year warranty, Ribs have a 6 year warranty. Both tires are an excellent choice. The ribs are about $60 more per tire.
For almost half the $$$$ of what the Ribs cost, any of the commercial grade LT tires like the Comp TA or the Firestone or LTX, have been used by forum members with success.
I had the Comp TA till BFG recalled them, and then to my surprise, BFG/Michelin voluntary recalled them, and
changed them for free to the Michelin RIBS... thanks Michelin/BFG.
How do you beat a Michelin/BFG warranty like that...?
Keep in mind, the only full steel casing, are the Ribs and the Duravis. When talking about these particular tires, you get what you pay for. They are that good.
