On DRV’s (at least mine, a 2018 36RSSB3) there is no inner access to the AC unit. That’s why I was asking how to take it off. Every YouTube video about that particular model (the Dometic LoPro Penguin II) shows an inner, plastic, diverter shroud. But in DRV’s is solid, padded, headliner. I did see the 4 lag screws however, on the exterior when I removed the initial plastic AC cover. Thanks for the clarification. Now I feel confident how to get to, and replace the seal.
As far as not using sealant: I was thinking about using either the Dicor self-leveling lap sealant l, or some Eternabond double sided tape. But I will go with people here suggest, and what Dometic says in their mounting instructions. I am curious, what’s the reason for not using sealants or Eternabond tape?
