- avvidclif1ExplorerNot seeing the entire picture but if you reversed the doors the handle problem might go away.
Beautiful job and glad to find it as our nevercold is temperamental...
Main problem I have is height as I only have a 65" tall hole. The Samsung is 67" or it would have already been there. I wasted a lot of time trying to see what would fit and yours is perfect. - azrvingExplorer.

- SewsyqExplorerI have been following this thread with great interest as I would love for DH to install in out 5er. However, when I asked him about it, he said we would have to remove a slide to get the old frig out and the new one in. Is that what you had to do or is there another way?

- mbrowerExplorerWhen I first started doing research on installing residential refrigerators, there were two concerns I had and very limited information on the web. One, how do you trim the opening to make it look like a professional install and not put in as a after thought. I also wanted something that would keep the doors closed during travel that didn't involve drilling holes in the refrigerator or cabinets and I didn't like the look of baby latches and Velcro straps.
This works with the whirlpool refrigerator and may work with others but this is what I did when I installed the refrigerator:
I bought this wall corner trim from lowes. Its made of some type of plastic and is light and trims easily. Its also some what fragile but cuts really clean with a miter saw. I attached this to the wall with double sided tape. Painted it black with rustoleum after cutting and test fit.
Really blends in well and is hardly noticeable.
To keep the doors closed during travel, I removed one of the plugs that is covering the screw hole for reversing the door. I went to lowes and bought a threaded rod that matched the hole and a black handle. I epoxied (JB weld) the rod into the handle and cut the rod to the length I needed.
I just thread it into the screw hole and the handle holds the door shut. Just takes a few seconds and holds both doors tight. - mbrowerExplorerThanks, furnace exhaust gas would be a big concern for me too. I have seen others seal those vents in the past and thought the fridge would benefit from circulating air. I like where you mounted your cooling fan by the way.

- mbrowerExplorerWhy is it necessary to seal the side vents? I added insulation and trimmed the front same as my Norcold refer. It is my plan to install some 12V fans and a temp switch in the back to exhaust hot air and pull in cooler air. My heater exhaust on the opposite side of the trailer.
