  • I have installed several in RVs. Piece of cake if you have a toilet with standard style seat bolts (domestic 310 or other similar). Most toilets are plumbed with pex pipe 1/2 inch so a simple sharkbite T with a valve and 3/8 male is all you need. The bidet at Lowe’s has a standard 3/8 water line and screws right on. Other brands (bio bidet comes to mind) have proprietary threads that must screw onto one of their Ts and can be a little more involved. The supplied T is for 7/8 thread for the cold water tank connection at your S&B, but you can usually request a HOT water T and it will be standard 3/8 thread and you can splice it in with a male and female 3/8 thread to 1/2 inch pex sharkbite.

Anyone that thinks a bidet in an RV is a bad idea has never tried one. Uses very little water and you use as little as 2 or 3 squares of TP per use. These things are awesome for your black tank.
  • The RV market start to install them on expensive motor home.Soon will be an option on all RV.
  • We got ours from bluebidet.com easy to install and shot of cold water just settles you down.
  • The bidet got a water tank which is heat all the time so cold water don't hit you. That a japan design for a long time.

Your bidet is much fancier than mine. I go for more of the "pressure washer" type, but it does the job. :)

So how are you coping with the shot of cold water??

  • Thank you for the info.I install a TOTO bidet and I am very happy.
  • I did this about a year ago and I've been pleased as punch with the results. Took me a while to learn enough about plumbing to make it work, but that was because I was starting from ground zero. Anyone even a little plumbing savvy will have no trouble with it.

Here's the thread, complete with proof of how ignorant I was at the start, along with completed pics of the result.

If you're camping with hookups, this is absolutely the way to go. TP consumption drops significantly and the whole thing is just much cleaner and more pleasant. The smaller RV bowl will fill a bit, so sometimes as you use it you might want to step on the pedal to drain the bowl.

This is probably less than ideal for boondockers or those who aren't setup to drain the black tank easily as you will put more water in there, but the reduction in TP and the additional water will keep your tank cleaner.

To answer the question of where the water goes, the bidets commonly sold for easy home use are actually attachments for your normal toilet. They have a sprayer that does the dirty work and the water just drops into the bowl.
  • If you full hook most the time you could. Otherwise lots of water use as Don said.
  • Can it be done? I guess so, but why would you want to? A bidet is going to drop a lot of water at each use. Where is that liquid going to go?
