Not trying to be funny but make sure the inverter is turned on. I have to press and hold the power button on mine for a few seconds for it to come on. If you don't have one the transfer switch is a great thing to have because then you don't have to worry about it. I turn our inverter on before we leave for a trip and turn if off when we get home. The transfer switch automatically switches to shore power when you plug in and back to the inverter when you unhook.
On edit, just saw the above comment on needing a bigger inverter. We have a 1000w pure sine wave and it is more than enough to run the Samsung fridge. I am trying to remember but I think ours uses a maximum of 500 to 600 watts max and that is only at start up of the compressor. Never a problem in 3 years of use.
