I'm looking at 5er that has a residential refrigerator with two batteries and 1000 watt inverter. I have a couple questions that were answered by the dealer but now I looking for closer to real world experience.
First he said the batteries would run the double door Samsung fridge for 24 hours - is that in the ball park?
He also said while traveling that TV would charge the battery but maybe not fully but enough to last 12 hour over night stop for several days. True of False?
Thanks...
We have a MS with 2 6 volt batteries and a 1,000 watt inverter, we run the fridge (double door Whirlpool) while we're on the road all the time without troubles. I think the TV will put "some" electricity back into your batteries but for how you described your usage you should be just fine. There are variables, how warm in gets in the trailer and how often the fridge gets opened but traveling along you won't be opening then fridge anyway so it should stay nice and cold for ya!
IMHO go for it, we LOVE our fridge, we like how much room it has and how well it cools.
