Some of the older Ford's may not have complied with the cruise control recall. They catch fire when brake fluid in the master cylinder comes in contact with the hot terminals in the cruise control switch. It can happen at any time, even with the key off. I said to the dealer "How can they have a circuit that's unfused ? He said " You'd be surprised by what they do "
There is another problem with Fords and that is the resistor for the A/C system, in the heater box. I believe that is where my truck's fire started.
