Rig Shake Issues ??

Forget the tripod and buy JT Strongarm stabilizers or Steadyfast stabilizers. Far better than a tripod.

Your might also get some taller blocks to put under the rear stabilizers. 4" x 6" x 12" wood blocks work well.

One of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of electric stabilizers; I like to know how much down force they have on them and that can only really be known by hand-cranking. From everything I've read here, the tripods are pretty much a waste of money. Some like them, but the majority think they're just so much scrap metal. You're much better off, IMO, in getting JT Strongarms, or one of the various other brands of stabilizing systems. Just one more option that most mfrs fail to offer that would make the RVing experience much more enjoyable.

On edit: Don't electric stabilizers have a manual option? If so, power them down, then use the hand crank to give another turn or two.

I would use jt strongarm I used them on my last trailer worked very well. Stop most of the shaking and also used a wheel block between tires and cranked it until it was very tire.

JT Strongarms or something equivalent and X-chocks or something equivalent.

JT Strongarms will only work as designed if you can get enough pressure on the rear stabs. They will take out the side to side and fore/aft movement, but if the rear stabs are not cranked down enough then you'll still get some up/down bounce.
Like others have mentioned can you manually crank them? If so then after you elec them down give them a few manual cranks to firm things up. Also make sure you have tight chocks as well.

I have 6 point auto-levelers and I added scissor jacks to the rear of the trailer. With all of those in position, while laying in bed, we still feel people moving around. Point is we can reduce the shakes but nothing will ever totally get rid of the shakes. As long as our wheels are on the ground the suspension will cause the shakes.

Sounds like you have an problem with the rear jacks. You should be able to put some serious pressure on them. When I put our electric stabilizers down in back you can see the trailer rise. I run them down until the motor pretty much quits, and there is plenty of pressure there.

Yeah, the tripods are a waste of money and space. The JT Strongarms are the way to go.

The rear stabilizers go down and I hold the button until the motor will not turn anymore, I actually popped the reset trying to hard. There is a manual crank I will try that tomorrow.

My wife and I are blessed that we are not bothered by the slight movement in the trailer when parked. On most overnights I do not bother to even use the rear stabilizers. Sometimes I almost forget to put them down even when we are staying for a few days.

On our first fifth-wheel we were given a tripod. We used it "religiously" for a few trips and then learned that we couldn't tell that it made any difference without it, so it went to the scrap heap.

I know there are many who find it hard to believe how little we are concerned with the slight movements of the trailer, but for us that is just a part of the experience that we are comfortable with.

And for some, it might be worth a try. Otherwise there are good options out there to reduce the movement.

After you have leveled side to side then unhook for truck

Then level front to rear using front landing gear

When you get it level front/rear LOWER the front landing gear legs 1"

Then go run rear stabilizers down with 6"X6" block under their foot pads until tight. (block keeps stabilizers from having to fully extend....wider stance)

Now with rear stabilizers set run front landing gear the 1" back up to level

5vr is now SNUG


NOTE:
Don't forget.......wheel chocks
Set them FIRST before unhooking from truck

Then after setting up go back and check they are tight

I like between the wheel x-chocks to stop fore/aft wheel motion
