We have found a 2018 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel with a great floor plan that we love. However, as we were looking at the unit today, my husband discovered the roof is "rippled" and doesn't appear to be solidly attached. Several nearby units had the same issue. Has anyone else encountered this before? Worried this could be a potential big headache and indicator of other quality issues.Thanks for any info!

Small loose area's about the size of a quarter or even a silver dollar are *common and wont spread but if there's actually a ripple, I would pass it up. *Common but a sign of lousy workmanship.

I was up on my roof yesterday to look mine over on my new TT and found a area in the rear that wasn't stuck down. My warranty is up in December.

DW and I have looked at several used Jayco's and every one had some water damage inside. I'm just sayin".

To me a ripple or two would show that the roof is loose and doing one of those billowing maneuvers. I would run far and I run fast.

How many folks have seen the roofs on RV's going down the road looking like there is a air compressor blowing it up? Can't think of any 1 specific mfr, but IMO.....not good!

O.K. now do not overreact.
,I have had 3 5er's and ALL of them have had some ripples and a few bubbles and it is just fine and do not worry about it has NEVER been a problem for me and most other folks with that

My '97 32' 5er has loose spots about 2-3" wide across the roof in several spots since new. They haven't grown and no issues from them.
I don't know what your husband means by rippled but large loose areas behind the front cap can grow large enough to billow up going down the highway.
Without pictures were just guessing if its a issue.

Almost always this is caused by improper washing. Using products that actually dissolve the glue.
