Roof ripples

Looking to buy a used 2015 Keystone.

Is this normal or should I be concerned or run?

They ripples run about a foot to 18” long. They run from the seam at the front cap towards the rear of trailer.

Not sure of roof material.

    Keystone? Better check their reviews.

  • No it is not normal

If you are talking about a couple of small ones, like an inch in diameter they are an easy fix.

If you are talking about them all over the roof , I wouldn't touch it.

I have had two trailers and when I sold each of them at seven years old, except for black mildew spots here and there, the roofs were perfect

  • It likely means there is moisture underneath. Moisture means mold.

If I am correct, the only way to fix it is rip the roof off replace any moldy wood and start over !

LOL......Keystone, Forest River, Thor, Winnebago / Grand Design, Just fill in the name you wish as you can find those bad reviews for anything out there.
    Don't buy anything :B
  • I'm no expert, but I think you have 2 options. Either have an expert look at it, you should have it thoroughly inspected anyway before buying - this is a voice of experience. Or, find out how much a new roof costs and offer him his asking price less the cost of a new roof.
