No it is not normal
If you are talking about a couple of small ones, like an inch in diameter they are an easy fix.
If you are talking about them all over the roof , I wouldn't touch it.
I have had two trailers and when I sold each of them at seven years old, except for black mildew spots here and there, the roofs were perfect
