Riviera beach rv park

Has anyone been to this rv campgrounds and could you give me a review? You can PM me if you would rather do it privately. Thinking of heading down there and would like to know more than I can find on Google.
  • I would not stay in Rivera beach. Even though it is close to the water it is also located in the hood.
  • On a side note a little further north there is a campground for full timing rv usage west of the turnpike and 95. And Jonathan Dickinson State Park near by also.

    So..do you have a 5th wheel?
  • It's worse than the "hood" in Riviera Beach. Very unsafe now. My brother had built a new very nice home with a pool a circular driveway in 1968 on double corner lots and was the second one built in the huge new development. RB was a clean prosperous growing northern suburb of West Palm Beach back then. But since then, the RB area has been reduced to basically a ghetto of atrocious crime and drugs.

He even had added a 6' high chainlink fence with an electric gate and still didn't feel safe and put their home up for sale. He finally sold it (at a big loss after 7 years on the market) and in the mid 1990's moved north about 16 miles and built a new home in an exclusive area with electric gated very large properties.

His RB home even made national news a few years ago (Jan 2007 if I remember correctly) as the people living there had their baby shot dead in the driveway by a drive by shooter. Needless to say but my Bro and his wife are so happy not to be still living there.

JD State Park is nice and has 2 different kinds of CG's. Open and in the Florida type brush/woods. There's also a nice CG park at Juno (was called Juno Isles)on US-1 a few hundred yards behind a shopping center on the west side of US-1 that used to be a membership park and I've heard they are now accepting non-members. Not cheap though! The CG on 130th south off Indiantown Road west of Jupiter (SR 706) is very expensive and the sites are really tight however the location is great. Latest I've heard is there are a lot of complaints about the CG. Unfortunately, not a lot of CG choices in the Riviera Beach area as there are so few and only a couple decent ones. That's why we would often stay in our 5th wheel at my Bro's for a month or so after we sold our place in Florida area. Can't even see his home, MH, or our 5th wheel from the road due to all the trees and palmettos etc and his "S" shaped long gated driveway.

    Added the year edit.
  • Sorry guys I failed to say this on the Texas gulf coast not Florida. Near Kingsville.
