without trying to stir up the pot, a lot depends upon the dealer who does the service.
If they "go to bat" for you and insist that the factory authorize the repairs or they let you do all the "legwork". Sometimes its just the customer being an *** that turns things in the wrong direction.
Being a service manager in several shops during my career, I can say for a fact that a customer who treats me with respect will get the same respect from me and I will go the extra mile to make sure they are happy,
When my present rig was new, it had several faults, the dealer has 3 locations, the selling dealer wasn't interested in taking care of it, my salesman told me to try the other location which was closer to me anyways, guess what, all the things were fixed in 2 days as well as a few others they noticed.
