My rock guard melted on the side of the exhaust of the truck. It melted the plastic and deformed the guard itself. It also deformed the lower front of my 5er. My truck is a 2011. In the 1st year of towing with it the damage had occurred. It hasn't gotten any worse and we do put a lot of miles on especially when we head out west. I'm always looking for more damage. I did have both sides of the rock guard shortened because I have large mud flaps on the rear of the truck.
